Newly elected President Massimo Cicatiello, who has held top positions in the AdnKronos Editorial Group for many years and is President of Unindustria's Publishing, Information and Audiovisual Section, was unanimously elected, proposing a structured program based on a well-defined vision of the enhancement of relations between Italy and the United States.

Reconfirmed as Vice President is Avv. Paolo Quattrocchi, partner of the firm Advant Nctm, member of the International Relations Committee of Unindustria, Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, Representative of FY International for Italy, Founder of the Italy-Canada Study Center and the CETA Observatory.

Cicatiello succeeds, in the position, OSDIA charter member Claudio Frasca, who led the Chapter in 2021 and 2022, ensuring full continuity of activities during the pandemic period who, now, assumes the position of immediate Past President. "The assembly of members," said Frasca, "appreciated the program presented by Massimo Cicatiello, which was structured and based on a well-defined vision of the enhancement of relations between Italy and the United States, two countries that share a commitment to the same values: democracy, human rights, rule of law, security and prosperity. We wish the newly appointed President Cicatiello well in his work, assuring him full and active support in the implementation of the program we have shared."

"I strongly believe in shared knowledge, and I will try to characterize," says Massimo Cicatiello, "this mandate of mine on fair and qualified information between countries. We will try to tell Italy to the U.S. and the U.S. to all those here at home who have an interest in exploring or strengthening their cultural or economic ties. My main concern will be that Italy as a country is sufficiently known by the Italian communities in America, beyond the classic stereotypes. We know how proud the Italian-American community is of its roots and of this country that they perceive better than we Italians do. A mature country capable of contributing to the development of the world."

OSDIA in Italy will be engaged in developing networking and strengthening the main projects already underway. With the new presidency, it aims to dialogue with Italian institutions and to enhance all the souls of OSDIA in Italy through the development of specific initiatives also in synergy with the various territorial articulations and key stakeholders. Mainly it will open up to all Italian companies with interests in the U.S. by acting as facilitators of relationships with an Italian community of more than 20 million Americans who proudly claim their Italian roots.

An important programmatic point will be dialogue with all generations of Italians in America, especially with young Americans with Italian roots. Italy is the second most popular destination in the world for American students studying abroad, with more than 35,000 U.S. students studying in Italy each year. Osdia will also offer to help Italian students who are increasingly attracted to academic exchange programs with the United States and of course to introduce Italy to American students in Italy to rediscover their ancient origins.
