Today the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Directorate General for the Fight against Counterfeiting – Italian Patent and Trademark Office (DGLC-UIBM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). INTA and DGLC-UIBM recognize the vital role trademarks play in protecting consumers and companies and in promoting fair and effective commerce.
This MOU establishes a broad framework under which the two organizations can develop cooperation activities in the field of trademarks and related areas, with a specific focus on enforcement and anticounterfeiting issues. Italy is the Eurozone's third largest economy and the world's tenth largest exporter.
