Italy is the European country hardest hit by the coronavirus disease, with over 105,000 people infected and over 12,400 deaths. To help stop the spread of the virus, Lamborghini is converting departments of its super sports car production plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese in order to produce surgical masks and protective plexiglass shields.
The masks will be donated to the Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna to be used in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. It says it is going to produce 1,000 masks and 200 protective plexiglass shields a day.
