The economist Andrea Gumina, 43 years old, is the new President of Amerigo, the association that brings together Italian alumni of the International Cultural Exchange Programs of the U.S. Department of State (Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) including Fulbright, International Visitor Leadership Program, Eisenhower Fellows and others. He was appointed by unanimous vote of the Assembly.
He received his Degree (Laurea) in Economics in 2001 (at Luiss Guido Carli University of Rome), awarded his MA in Ethics in 2004 (at Pontificia Università Lateranense in Rome) and finally his Ph.D. in History and Thoughts of Economics in 2006 (at Luiss Guido Carli University), where he spent four other years as a Research Fellow.
