Chattanooga's popular Italian concept restaurant Il Primo will open a second location at Cambridge Square in Ooltewah. Restaurateur Nathan Lindley and property managers Legacy Real Estate & Development plan to open the 4,000-square-foot location in June 2017. The location will be across the road from Heaven and Ale and Wine Down. Construction will begin in late summer.
Lindley is owner of the current Il Primo at 1100 Hixson Pike and Public House at Warehouse Row. He founded St. John's Restaurant in 2000, which he later sold in 2005. "Since leaving the formality of fine dining and opening Public House and Il Primo, my goal has been to create communal and familial gathering places around honest food and relaxed settings," Lindley said in a prepared statement. The restaurant specializes in American-Italian cuisine influenced with classic recipes of Italian communities in the Northeast.
