Downtown Spruce Pine will soon be home to yet another new restaurant. Capone’s Italian American Bar & Grill is set to open in mid-May at 69 Locust St. and owners Tim and Marsha Hoilman intend to offer not only high-quality dining but an unforgettable experience. “I’ve always wanted to open a restaurant,” Tim said. “I saw the opportunity and my wife was on board, so we jumped on it.”
Husband-and-wife Amy O’Connor and Danny Barcelona own the building where Capone’s will be located. The ground floor that will be Capone’s has undergone extensive renovations since being leased by the Hoilman’s, and as of the first week of May, the finishing touches were being made to the sheetrock and painting was nearing completion.
