Italian food is the most popular cuisine in New Jersey and New York, according to Chef’s Pencil.com, a website for chefs and the restaurant industry. The report used Google search data to rank the popularity of food by state and city. The results show cuisine trends in restaurants and at home.
But New Yorkers might be sad to learn that their rival, New Jersey, loves Italian food more than they do. New Jersey came first in the country with a popularity score of 100, while New York took second place with 97. Third place went to Rhode Island.
