A new Italian restaurant is opening on the Upper West Side in the former home of a neighborhood staple. For most local foodies, the address at the corner of West 77th Street and Columbus Avenue is remembered as the location of Isabella's — a Mediterranean restaurant that operated in the neighborhood for 30 years before abruptly closing in 2017.
It now appears as a new restaurant at 359 Columbus Ave. is taking over the space as signage recently went up for La Pecora Bianca. The eatery describes itself as a "stylish bright-all-day dining restaurant featuring market-driven Italian cuisine."
