A new restaurant opening Wednesday on the Upper West Side serves a brownstone dinner party vibe alongside classic Italian cuisine. Osteria Accademia will welcome customers for the first time at 646 Amsterdam Ave., between 91st and 92nd streets, in the former home of shuttered Italian eatery Scarlatto.
The eatery is run by restaurateur Huseyin Ozer, who oversees popular Upper West Side mainstays Bodrum and Leyla, along with his business partner Murat Akinci."The duo conceived the restaurant with the Upper West Side residents in mind, creating an environment that makes them feel like they are in an Upper West Side brownstone dining room," reads a news release for the new restaurant.
