A new Italian restaurant opens its doors in the Western Nebraska Regional Airport. Roma Italian Restaurant sells homemade lasagna, meatballs, spaghetti, chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo, bread and more. Owners Alex and Noti Gabrica traveled from Texas to open the restaurant. They also recently applied for a liquor license so they can sell wine and beer. Alex Gabrica says he was not nervous to open a restaurant within the area.
“Not really because we have experience,” said Alex. “We have done this for 20 years almost. While I was driving, I saw the town and the people but noticed, there is no Italian here. Not even a big company like Olive Garden. We thought no competition so let’s try it.” Noti Gabrica felt nervous about the opening.
