Giglio's State Street Tavern opened recently in the South Loop at 825 S. State Street. Boxing promoter Bobby Hitz has essembled a staff that's top notch and instead of having a big party at the beginning, he wanted to spread the word slowly over time. He makes diners feel right at home with his hopsitality and warm atmosphere as soon as guest enter the establishment.
Start off with the fried calamari that is some of the best in the city. This calamari was not the chewy kind, but was instead a smooth bite that slides down easy. Follow that with the chicken parmesan. It's a meal for two with lightly, breaded chicken breasts served with a side of pasta.
