There are potential plans to bring a new pizzeria and bocce courts to downtown East Lansing. Coratti's Pizzeria Bar and Bocce would be at 321 E. Grand River Ave., offering food and licensed alcoholic beverage sales. A public hearing on site plans and special use permit requests is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, before the East Lansing Planning Commission.
“I think the idea of being on a college campus is really going to be cool,” said Peter Coratti of Milford, who plans to operate the restaurant with his nephew.According to architecture firm Ron & Roman, Inc. plans, the proposed site work includes: demolishing the existing storefront and installing a new one; adding a steel structure to support a new second floor; mechanical, electrical and plumbing modifications; and new foodservice equipment.
