The Shop, where "three major food groups" are dished out - Pizza, Pasta and Panino - has officially opened its doors. The eatery at 465 Main Street at the retail center in Café Villa's former space, opened on Jan. 9 for dining, take out and delivery, owner Vincenzo Bernardo told Patch. "It's been great," said Bernardo of opening the establishment in Chatham with co-owner Christopher Bezzone.
An official ribbon cutting event is likely to follow in February or March, he added. The "inventive and creative versions of Italian food" incorporates a range of handcrafted pastas, pizza, sandwiches and more, with authentic and trendy versions of dishes. There is a small retail section with Italian products for people looking to make their own speciality dishes at home.
