For decades, Muriale’s Italian Kitchen has been a staple of Fairmont and Marion County, and it’s still carrying on the same traditions and recipes that has made the restaurant a success for nearly 50 years.
Muriale’s opened after the family bought the one-building restaurant, once known as Dick’s, in the late 1960s. With an official opening date of June 3, 1969, the family set out to bring their traditional Italian taste to the area, according to the restaurant’s owner, Rocco Muriale. Even from the very beginning, Rocco was involved in the business from the ground floor.
