Some high school students are marking the mark and being honored for their good grades. The Italian American Cultural Club gave eight $1,000 scholarships to local students. The scholarships are in honor of past members of the club who passed away.
"I felt really grateful when I got the scholarship," said Angelina Balzano. "The Italian American Cultural Club is really special to me. I love volunteering at the Italian camp, I've done it for four years and its something I look forward to every summer. So when I got the scholarship I was really grateful and I have a deep respect for my Italian heritage."
