The Undo's Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival will take over the streets of Wheeling the coming weekend. The big tradition in the friendly city continues this year with a few new parts. “We have the dance lessons, the Tarantella. And they have the meatball eating contest and they have 'My Roots,'” said organizer Bob Triveri. The festival began in 1983, and a lot has changed since then, but the popularity continues to grow.
This year, people can get free dance lessons with Allegro Dance Company, and see who can eat the most meatballs. A booth organizers expect to be well-liked is the My Roots booth, where people can go back and track where their family is from in Italy. And of course-- you can't forget about the food. There will be plenty to eat, and Undo's will be making their pasta on site. There will be plenty of the beloved Italian Sausage.
