A new BYOB Italian restaurant has opened on Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah, adding a locally-owned business to a town swamped with chains. Novino Ristorante offers Neapolitan pizzas made in a wood-burning oven, handmade pastas and a variety of Italian entrees.
Owner George Jamieson, a Mahwah resident, has spent his career running more than a dozen gourmet delicatessens in Manhattan, as well as the cafes in Equinox gyms in New York, Washington D.C. and Boston.
