On December 18, 2018 Merriel Quacinella passed away after a short illness. Her life began on June 2, 1931 in Illinois, the oldest of three children. The family moved to Modesto where she attended high school and Jr. College. Her early career began running the print shop at Mt. Sac Jr College, and concluded as a medical transcriber in Modesto.
Merriel’s many interests included reading, knitting and camping. She was very involved with several Italian-American community service clubs. She enjoyed spending time with her close circle of friends and was a big fan of both U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the S.F. Giants.
