Dear Members and Friends, on May 22nd Italy and Italians worldwide will celebrate Lucania Day.  The Basilicata Regional Council has arranged for a free showing of the documentary entitled "Matera Plovdiv, the straight path of culture 2019".

The work, directed by Isabella Trovato, virtually unites the two European capitals of culture 2019 through an adventure experienced by the Lucanian Donato Vena, who left Matera for Plovdiv to find a Bulgarian friend whom he had not seen for over 25 years. A journey develops along the 700 km path uniting two countries, crossing four countries: Italy, Albania, Macedonia, and Bulgaria, traversed by sea and land, discovering the customs and traditions of local populations, revealing landscapes, and collecting stories.  The film is in Italian, Bulgarian and Spanish.

On May 22nd you can access the film on YouTube by using this link throughout the day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYdRbVhB9Ro&feature=youtu.be
