Italian Film Festival USA 2019 in Detroit

Presented under the auspices of the Consulate of Italy in Detroit, the Italian Film Festival USA will open in Detroit in just a week! On April 3rd, at 7:30, join us at the DIA's Detroit Film Theatre for "Benedetta Follia" (Blessed Madness), a 2018 comedy by and with Carlo Verdone.

The Metro Detroit edition of the festival will continue until May 5th, with screenings at Wayne State U Classical & Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (April 5-6), Michigan State University (April 12-13), Grand Ledge Sun Theatre (April 13-14), Emerald Theatre (April 19-20), Detroit Film Theatre (April 26-28), Bloomfield Township Public Library (May 5).

The Metro Detroit program includes 12 contemporary Italian long feature films and two series of short films, one for the general public and one specifically curated for children of age 6-12. Confirmed guests will be Francesco Falaschi (director of Quanto Basta Il Film, April 5), Renzo Carbonera (director of Resina, April 19), Francesco Prisco and Simona Tabasco (director and actress of Bob & Marys, April 28).

All films will be screened in Italian with English subtitles and admission is free! For details and schedule:
