The C. Colombo Lodge of Antioch will host its annual Cuccidati Contest and Italian cookie sale on Sunday at the Antioch Senior Center, 415 W. Second St.. The public is invited to join in the fun judging the cuccidati, which are Italian fig-stuffed cookies also known as buccellati and traditionally served at Christmastime. The outer cookie is made of pastry dough, which is typically covered with icing and covered with rainbow sprinkles.
Also for sale will be sfingi (Italian doughnuts), cannoli (tube-shaped filled Italian pastries) and meatball sandwiches and wine.
