The Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg will be the guest performers at the William P. Carter Memorial Italian Composers Concert on Friday, October 25, at 7:30 PM, at St. George’s Church, 905 Princess Anne Street. The annual concert is offered free by the Fredericksburg-Este Association, in honor of Bill Carter, long-time choral performer and also active member of the Italian sister city group. Donations will be accepted.
The program will offer a blend of American choral classics by Gershwin, Rogers and Hammerstein, and Duke Ellington, followed by Italian compositions by Vivaldi, Palestrina, Marcenzio, Arcendalt, di Lasso, Puccini, Verdi, and Martini. The Chamber Chorale, now celebrating its 30th season, is directed by Bryan Hiroto Stensen, who holds a bachelor’s in Vocal Performance and a master’s in Choral Conducting.
