Frank Di Piero named Flowers of Italy Man of the Year

Flowers of Italy Club President has announced that Chicago businessman Frank Di Piero will be honored as the Man of the Year at the club’s 59 th annual Dinner Dance at 6:30 p.m. on March 28, 2020, at Villa Brunetti Banquet Hall, in Franklin Park.

“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Flowers of Italy Club for this tremendous honor,” said Di Piero. “I’m very proud of the contributions of Italian Americans throughout our history. It’s our responsibility to encourage future generations to continue those contributions.”

Mr. Di Piero is the owner of Jeri’s Grill in Chicago and hosts the podcast “Keepin’ It Real with Frankie D”. He is a Director of Casa Italia, Italidea-Midwest and Little Italy Cenetta. Additionally, he was elected in 2017 to the Norridge District 234 School Board. He resides in Norridge with his wife Ivana, owner of Ivana Di Piero Hair Studio, and their children, Marcella and Rocco.

“On behalf of the club officers and members, we are proud to recognize Mr. Di Piero for his tireless effort and dedication to his family, friends and the Italian American community as well as his commitment as a public servant.” said President Salerno.

The Flowers of Italy Club was established on May 18, 1961. In 1972, the 70-member club bought and moved into its current home at 2111 W. Lake St., in Melrose Park. The club’s focus is to provide recreation, sports, education and charity.
