Pay now, drink forever. In a way. Ferino Distillery, currently taking shape on East Fourth Street, is raising some of the money for the project by selling memberships in its drinks club, called Drinks for Life. The memberships begin at $100 and include one free drink per month for life — as long as the member and distillery both shall live.
Ferino occupies the once-scruffy digs that housed the Reno Bike Project. Last summer, when work began, Ferino founder Joe Cannella told @RGJTaste it would take in the "six figures" to transform the space into a distillery with a production area, storage, a coffee-cum-cocktail bar, and a bottle shop selling Ferino spirits and other goods.
