Comedian Mike Marino, "New Jersey's Bad Boy of Comedy," is one of Scotch Plains's greatest ambassadors. The comedian, who has performed at major comedy clubs across the country and is currently on a tour called “Make America Italian Again” that recently brought him to Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Las Vegas.
No matter where he goes, Marino is proud to talk about his hometown of Scotch Plains, where he bought his parents’ home. He also owns a home in California that he bought when he worked on sketches for NBC’s Tonight Show with Jay Leno for years. At age 20, he purchased a house on the Jersey Shore with the money he had earned by doing TV commercials.
