Things almost never change at Ottavio’s Italian Restaurant. And that’s just how patrons of the family-owned business in Old Town Camarillo like it. “We love that people feel at home when they walk in the doors,” said Julie Belvedere Thomason, whose parents, Ottavio and Noella Belvedere, opened the Ventura Boulevard restaurant in 1969.
As co-owner, Belvedere Thomason has in recent years helped oversee the occasional, gentle revamping of the decor, the highlighting of vegan-friendly preparations, the addition of delivery via Grubhub and DoorDash, and the installation in August of a new exterior sign that bears the restaurant’s updated logo.
