A 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet owned by a California collector for more than two decades will highlight RM Sotheby’s annual sale in Arizona in January, with a presale estimate of between $6 million and $7 million. The car will be one of the most desirable early open Ferraris to be publicly offered, the auction house said Monday.

The Ferrari was one of a total of 40 examples—including three prototypes—in the first-series 250 GT Cabriolet constructed in Pinin Farina’s boutique workshop in Turin, Italy. While the bodies of the cars were consistent, the interior details and trim of each were customized to order. This Ferrari, with chassis No. 0913 GT, was originally finished in grigio metallizatto (metallic gray) paint, and trimmed with an interior of Nero Vaumol leather, according to RM Sotheby’s.
