Perfect fit: Italian sandal shop brings touch of Capri to Worth Avenue

Francesco Pasta has been hand-making luxury leather sandals since he was a teenager working in his grandfather's shop on the island of Capri, Italy. He never dreamed 15 years later he'd bring the family business to the United States.


When Francesco, 35, moved to Chicago with his wife Jessica, 40, in 2013 the two ran a mobile business. But, winters weren't ideal for selling Caprese sandals, so a year and a half later they decided to tour potential locations for a storefront in sunny South Florida.
