I've long wondered who Giovanni Feroce is. I knew of him as the CEO who took Alex and Ani global and is trying to do it again, re-launching the World War II watch brand Benrus into a vintage clothing-and-gear play. But I've seen little written about him.
So I called. Then waited six weeks. Finally, he told me to come by. He tends to be busy. I met him at his Providence headquarters, a charming red-brick building near Al Forno restaurant with views of both downtown and Providence Harbor — and quickly saw one of the traits that drives him.
