On 14 May 2024, this Consulate was notified that the requirement of national visas for family members of EU/EEA citizens repatriating to Italy has been reimposed effective 01 June 2024. If you are an EU/EEA citizen intending to move your family to Italy on or after 01 June 2024, your family members who are not EU/EEA citizens must now have a national visa for family reasons in order to obtain their residency permits in Italy. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to remain in Italy.
If you are a resident of the Consular jurisdiction, please see the visa office webpage and download the PDF for the family reasons (family of EU/EEA citizens) visa.
