The Sons and Daughters of Italy Myrtle Beach Lodge #2662 proudly presents "FESTA ITALIANA" being held at The Market Common on Farrow Parkway in 4017 Deville St, Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday, June 22nd 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Sunday, June 23rd 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM. There will be at least 3,200 meatballs. 1,050 sausages, 2,500 raviolis and 50 gallons of sauce on hand.

These are just some of the ingredients that will await guests when they attend the 27th annual Festa Italiana festival. This two-day event features authentic Italian food, music and camaraderie which has been an annual weekend tradition in June and October.

Everything served will remind you of Nonna’s on Sunday afternoons. Volunteers begin weeks in advance preparing for the large weekend. “This event is a labor of love for our Italian heritage and ancestors. Over the years we have seen this event continue to grow and thrive because of our wonderful community and lodge volunteers. They are very well organized, and have everything down to a science now,” says Tina Smith of Murrells Inlet, the lodge publicity chairwoman, who has been involved with the event for over 2 years. “Putting on this festival twice a year could not happen without them. Even though it is a lot of hard work, our volunteers enjoy being a part of it and carrying on this Italian tradition with pride.”

Many will agree this is not the time to be worrying about calories, but rather, indulge in eating sausage and pepper sandwiches, meatball heroes, chicken parmesan, Neapolitan style pizza, spaghetti and raviolis. That’s not all.. Make sure to save room for the homemade desserts: cannoli’s, pizzelles, biscotti, zeppoli (fried dough), Italian ices and assorted Italian cookies. Soft drinks, beer and Italian wines are also available.

Festival entertainment and activities include: Continuous live entertainment all weekend, Arts and Crafts vendors, an Italian themed gift boutique, face painting, spaghetti & pizza eating contests, kid’s activities, and more.
