Members of the Italian American Club have remained busy during the COVID-19 pandemic raising money to help others. The club recently made donations to organizations in Wildwood and Belleview that help feed those in need. Club President Frank Truglio made the presentations of the $1,000 checks.
One of the donations went to the Wildwood Soup Kitchen, which Truglio said is temporarily closed but is planning to reopen soon. The kitchen serves thousands of meals per week and distributed about 1,800 snack packs to school-age children. Truglio presented the check to Don Schober, who serves on the board of directors for the facility.
