Antonello Pileggi has been elected President of the Miami Scientific Italian Community (MSIC). Officers of the MSIC will be Vice President Fabio De Furia (Consorzio Roma Ricerche), Secretary Alessia Fornoni (Director and Chair of the Peggy and Harold Katz Family Drug Discovery Center at the University of Miami) and Treasurer Antonio Nanni (Chair of the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Miami).

The Miami Scientific Italian Community is a non-profit organization and that brings together a conspicuous community of Italian scientists operating in Florida, along with universities, private and public research institutions.
