The Toccolana Club in Rome will be holding its first ever Feast of San Gennaro celebration this September. The festival honors San Gennaro of Naples, an Italian bishop who was martyred in 305 AD. The free event will feature live music, Italian food, live entertainment, a bocce tournament, food trucks and food contests, including ‘Best Meatball’ and ‘Best Tomato Pie.’
The festival will be held 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18. More information on signing up for the bocce tournament can be found on the Toccolana Club Facebook page. The Toccolana Club is located at 1412 E. Dominick St. in Rome.
