Little Italy Neighborhood in Rochester (NY) collected nearly $12,000 worth of Food, Toys and other items on Saturday at its "Food and Toys" for Ukraine event

In just three hours on Saturday April 2nd, the Little Italy Neighborhood, located in the city's NW Quadrant, collected nearly $12,000 worth of food, toys, diapers, clothes, personal hygiene products and other needed items at its "Food & Toys for Ukraine" event held at Marina Auto Soccer Stadium. The goods and items will be donated to a community partner nonprofit agency handling Ukrainian relief efforts and aide for needy families and refugees.

The Little Italy Association of Rochester, Inc., is a NY State non-profit corporation and registered public charity, which has the specific consent of the NY State Attorney General, to commemorate and help manage a Little Italy Historic District in the City of Rochester's Lyell Avenue gateway corridor.

Rochester's "Little Italy Historic District" was officially designated by the City of Rochester and all nine members of Rochester City Council on June 2, 2019, commemorating over 150 years of Italian-American history in the area. The Little Italy Association works with, supports, and advocates on behalf of, district area residents and businesses, in the areas of revitalization, social and cultural programs, promotion, public safety and economic development.
