Celebrating Columbus Day, Italian-American Heritage

Oct 17, 2020 520

On the occasion of Columbus Day 2020, NYC Council Member Paul Vallone said, “For centuries, Italian Americans have helped shape the course of our nation’s history. Though we were unable to celebrate as we traditionally do, marching down 5th Avenue and with our City Hall Celebration, it’s my honor to celebrate this Italian Heritage Month and recognize Italian-Americans for their immeasurable contributions to the Borough of Queens and the City of New York!

In celebration of the significant contributions made by Italian-Americans in Queens, I’m proud to be welcoming the community to the Queens Historical Society’s virtual exhibition and art talk. Please join us on Sunday, October 25th and RSVP!” The event takes place from 7-9 pm and costs only $10.
