Man, woman and pooch showed their Italian pride at an annual Columbus Day parade in The Bronx on Sunday. "Everyone gets along," cheered Andrew Maccio, 67, who said the parade along Morris Park Avenue is different from any of the other city processions.
"Italians are not drinkers, they're lovers," he boasted. Sunday's parade, which drew about 3,000 spectators, featured an appearance by Mayor Bill de Blasio — who, for a change, didn't get a Bronx cheer. "I'm glad the mayor came," said Violet Smith, an 80-year-old City Island resident. "It shows The Bronx exists."
