Floyd Vivino (l.), who hosted the beloved TV comedy/variety series “The Uncle Floyd Show,” was the featured entertainer at the Italian Heritage & Culture Month Celebration that Borough President Katz and the Italian Heritage & Culture Committee of New York hosted at Marillac Hall on the Jamaica campus of St. John’s University on October 24.
The event celebrated Italian Americans in cinema and theater and honored host and director-producer Daniela Celella, dancer Salvatore LaRussa, professor Eugenia Paulicelli and film industry leader Pete Romano.
