Methuen resident Jay Bonanno, Methuen, was recognized last month for his countless hours of service to the community. Bonanno was honored during a Modern Woodmen of America member event at the Sons of Italy in Methuen. Jay Bonanno was honored through Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Hero Program for his 40 years of outstanding service to the residents of the City of Methuen on the Department of Public Works.
As part of the Hometown Hero Program, members of the Methuen Modern Woodmen Chapter 12106 presented Mr. Bonanno with a certificate and a $100 award grant to be donated to the charitable organization of the honoree’s choice. Mr. Bonanno selected St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to receive the donation.
