Ohio GOP Gov. Mike DeWine announced Tuesday that an Italian company called Modula that makes automated storage and retrieval systems will invest $26.5 million in a Franklin, Ohio manufacturing and logistics hub.
DeWine made the announcement with U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Jobs Ohio President and Chief Investment Officer J. P. Nauseef and the Chief Executive Officer of Modula, Antonio Pagano, at a U.S. Commerce Department conference intended to draw foreign investment into the United States. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a 1.52 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for the project and Jobs Ohio will provide further assistance when the deal is finalized, a JobsOhio spokesman said.
