It's been more than 100 years and St. Ann's Church here is still giving the community zeppoles, live nightly entertainment and crafts. St. Ann's Church is hosting its 108th annual Italian festival at Seventh and Jefferson streets. The festival, which started Saturday at 1 p.m., is open to all until Thursday, July 26 – the Catholic church's feast day honoring Mary's mother, St. Ann.
"I didn't realize it was this big," said a man looking at all the food trucks scattered around. Attendees were spoiled with various food options ranging from calamari to Italian sausages and sweets from gelato to fried oreos. While some sat on the church steps to munch down and enjoy music such as "Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles, others took to the carnival games in attempt to win a prize.
