Last December’s holiday season for many people was socially distanced, outdoors maybe with a fire pit or virtual over computer screens. However, seven months later, Nutley UNICO made up for this abnormality, on Wednesday, July 21. The Italian-American organization held their annual Christmas Eve in July dinner hosted by Dan and Cathy Marucci at Mamma Vittoria Catering in Nutley owned by Nella Cicchino.
The dinner was a true holiday celebration, Christmas decorations glimmered around the room with a giant Santa Claus statue greeting people as they walked in. Christmas music blared out of the speakers and before the meal former Nutley music teacher Jim Mauro played a few traditional holiday songs on his clarinet.
