After several cancellations due to the coronavirus, the Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation met June 26 at the Wolverine Resturant for its monthly meeting. President Barbara Mastropietro welcomed the group recognizing founder Gene Morabito. Greetings were extended to new member Kathi Wisniewski, along with potential members Anthony Rocco and Dee Maietta.
Secretary Linda Husing and Treasurer Sandy Douglass read their reports. Elaina Lindner welcomed two more members to her Italian Cookbook Committee, Ray Venezie and Dom Viccarri. Venezie, chairman of Italian Language Development, taught the gathering two more Italian sentences. His committee consists of Filippo and Mary D’Alessio, Anita Chaffin and Phyllis Fusco, who speak Italian.
