Italian journalist Federico Fiecconi will stimulate the discussion by providing an overview on the variety of treatments given to Collodi's story by famed Italian illustrators and filmmakers.

The Institute's event will also offer the opportunity to enjoy an up-close view of some selected and valuable original Italian artworks related to Collodi's masterpiece, on display in the Institute's conference hall for two weeks.

John Canemaker is an Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning animation director, a tenured professor of animation studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, author of twelve acclaimed books on animation history and curator of many major exhibitions. According to him, "Pinocchio is arguably the crowning achievement in Disney's Golden Age lineup."
