A new family in town plays a starring role in Syracuse Opera's season opener. Artistic Director Christian Capocaccia; his wife, soprano Alexandra Deshorties, and their 6-year-old son, Hadrian, are all involved in the local company's Oct. 19 and 21 production of Verdi's "Macbeth."
Having lived in various parts of the country while earning their degrees and performing, the family has now bought a house in the Sedgwick neighborhood, and they say they find they are settling into a comfortable, but busy, life. "We feel as if we have found a home here in Central New York," Capocaccia says. "People have been extremely warm and welcoming to us. Our son loves his school, and we find beautiful places for family outings."
