From March 19 - 23, LMU School of Film and Television (SFTV) will present their fifth annual Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour film festival on campus with screenings in Mayer Theater. The satellite festival is an offshoot of the original Il Cinema Ritrovato film festival that takes place in Bologna, Italy. It is being brought to LMU in conjunction with the Cineteca di Bologna — one of Europe’s most famous film preservation and restoration archives.

The festival is free and features diverse hidden gems amongst the array of foreign and domestic films from the past century. Not only are there opportunities to view these films, but there will be an opportunity to delve into the process of film restoration through a special event held in the Von Der Ahe Family Suite in Hannon Library on March 23, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
