I've recently had the honor of representing We the Italians at RAI Community – L'altra Italia, the TV show for the Italians abroad hosted on Rai Italia. This time I've had the opportunity to talk about the emigration and a few important characters from Emilia Romagna, my father's region, where my roots lie. For our readers who are interested in this topic, in the United States the episode will be aired on Thursday April 2, 6,30 pm EST. See you there!

We the Italians has participated to the event organized by NIAF on March 12 in Miami as a preview of Expo 2015 exhibition, that will start on May 1 in Milan. Our Alessio Gambino attended the event, and did a couple of brief interviews to three among the most famous and important personalities of the Italian American community: the wonderful Lidia Bastianich, NIAF President and Chief Operating Officer, my good friend John Viola, and NIAF Vice Chair Patricia de Stacy Harrison. You can find them in our special at the center of this magazine's issue.

Another column about another magnificent Italian excellence starts on our magazine from now on: Italian gardens. In every one of our numbers we will talk about a wonderful villa, a botanical garden, a beautiful park of a different region. Italy is greener than any other European country, and this is exactly what this is about: we'll start from Villa Caristo in Stignano, Calabria. This column is brought to us thanks to our partnership with the Italian Botanical Heritage, a project aimed at fostering the knowledge of the Italian botanical, artistic and cultural Italian heritage, and the development of green tourism in Italy.

Before to say goodbye, let me remind you the awesome opportunity given by the partnership between John Cabot University and We The Italian: two brand new Italian-American Heritage Scholarship. You can find the specifics in our previous editorial, or you can contact [email protected] for more information.

That's all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!
