Hi everybody, first of all, Happy Thanksgiving from We the Italians to you all! Make no mistake, we too celebrate it here in Rome, with turkey, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes!
A few days ago, as President of We the Italians I had the opportunity to be part of an important event about the internationalization of Made in Italy. The event was organized by Unindustria, the Association of the Enterprises from Lazio, the region where Rome is. The event was very interesting, and from it emerged a couple of good news that I want to share with our readers.

The first is that the leaders of the Italian institution who have a role in pushing the Italian export are now more than never the best we could imagine. Carlo Calenda, Undersecretary at the Ministry for the Economic Development, representing the Government and in charge for the Foreign Trade, is by far one of the best young Italian politicians. He knows exactly what to do, and is dedicated and committed like no other before him in his role.

President of ICE, the Italian Foreign Trade Agency, is now another young Italian leader, Riccardo Monti. A very skilled, bright manager, Monti has been appointed when ICE was almost doomed, while the Government of that time had already decided to cancel it. Monti fight for it, saved ICE and most important he revitalized such an important agency for the Italian economy, which survives almost only thanks to the export of our excellency.

Both Calenda and Monti have already been interviewed by We the Italians. But now there is a new player, at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs: and we will be able to tell you more about him at the beginning of 2015, so that our readers will know how good Italy is working hard to get better thanks to our wonderful Made in Italy.

The second good news is that, according to a paper presented by the think tank called Prometeia, having studied all the possibilities for Made in Italy to grow and increase the Italian business in the world, there is one country that is undoubtedly way ahead of the others. A place where the Italian products will in a short time certainly be of a greater success than now: given the cultural similarities, the presence of Italian products and of people who knows, admire and love Italy, and the amount of money the citizens of this place are willing to spend for the products in the sectors of the Made in Italy excellence. This country is the United States of America. And We the Italians will be more and more instrumental in this, in the future.

That's all for now. So stay tuned, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride. The future's so bright, we gotta wear shades!
