Have you made it down to the Museo Italo Americano of San Francisco located at Fort Mason? This important institution preserves the heritage of Italian Americans for future generations through art exhibits, language classes, cultural programs, feste, film and more. For the full listing, check out their calendar of events.

If you are interested in Italian film or opera — or both! — tomorrow presents a wonderful opportunity to attend the first screening from the Museo's Italian Opera on Film two-part series. At 7:00PM tomorrow, attendees will be treated to La Traviata, drawn from the operatic masterpiece of Giuseppe Verdi, who turns 200 years old this year and will be celebrated in October by a joint performance between the SF Opera and Teatro di San Carlo of his Requiem. Tickets are free to Museo members and $5 otherwise. Please call 415.673.2200 or email the Museo at [email protected] for tickets, more information and to become a Museo member.
