Siamo: The Italian-American Heritage Society of Northeastern PA, in partnership with the Taylor Community Library, will present its second annual St. Joseph’s Day festival on Saturday, March 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Taylor Community Library, 710 S. Main St. in Taylor.
St. Joseph is the patron saint of Italian-Americans and immigrants and his feast day is traditionally celebrated on March 19. The event will include a zeppole making demonstration for adults (zeppole are the traditional pastry eaten on the feast day), as well as children’s story time, crafts, games and heritage displays, including a traditional St. Joseph’s Day altar.
